programs are protected matter by Copyright and although
non-patentable they are registered by INPI and protected
by specific Law No.9609/1998.
Considering the difficulty to prove the
authorship of a software, in view of its immaterialness,
the registration with this competent organ became the
only effective protection option against the non-authorized
use by third parties. In this way, the author of the Computer
Program can claim the paternity of his product, using
our technical consulting and confidential services.
The documentation must be prepared in compliance
with specific standards of sealed envelopes and the Registerability
Examination will be carried out by INPI after observing
all the aspects related to the formal documentation.
A computer program has the legal validity
of 50 years, as of January 01 of the year subsequent to
the year of its creation. The date of creation is considered
as the date when the program is found apt to develop the
functions for which it has been designed.
